John 4:28

ἀφῆκεν οὖν τὴν ὑδρίαν αὐτῆς ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὴν πόλιν, καὶ λέγει τοῖς ἀνθρώποις·

Rough Word-by-word:
she left behind therefore the water jar of her the woman and she went away into the city, and she says to the men,

Smooth Translation:
Therefore the woman left behind her water jar and went away into the city, and says to the men,

Note:
This could be reading too much into John's intent here, but I can't help but notice the movement from the aorist to the active as the woman leaves her old purpose behind (to go and draw water) and now as she physically returns to the same city she came out of she goes with a new, active, purpose (to speak to others).
