John 5:23

ἵνα πάντες τιμῶσι τὸν υἱὸν καθὼς τιμῶσι τὸν πατέρα. ὁ μὴ τιμῶν τὸν υἱὸν οὐ τιμᾷ τὸν πατέρα τὸν πέμψαντα αὐτόν.

Rough Word-by-word:
that all they might honor the son even as they honor the father. The not one honoring the son not he honors the father the one who sent him.

Smooth Translation:
that all might honor the son even as they honor the father. The one not honoring the son is not honoring the father who sent him.

Notes:
We might say the direct object of our honor is God, Father and Son.

We also might say that there is one continuous, possible response of honor to God's undefinable activity in the incarnation.

I would not want to over press grammatical theology, but it sure is interesting, and thrilling to see.
