John 5:35

Rough Word-by-word:
He was the lamp the burning and shining, you all and you all wished to be joyful to [a] time in the light of him.

Smooth Translation:
He was the lamp burning and shining, and you all wished to be joyful for a time in his light.

Notes:
Context tells me to translate πρὸς ὥραν "for a time" rather than "to a time," but I am struggling with this prepositional phrase.
