John 1:22

εἶπαν οὖν αὐτῷ· τίς εἶ; ἵνα ἀπόκρισιν δῶμεν τοῖς πέμψασιν ἡμᾶς· τί λέγεις περὶ σεαυτοῦ;

εἶπαν verb aorist active indicative 3rd plural from εἶπον (I say) "they said"
