John 7:40

Ἐκ τοῦ ὄχλου οὖν ἀκούσαντες τῶν λόγων τούτων ἔλεγον ὅτι Οὗτός ἐστιν ἀληθῶς ὁ προφήτης·
Rough Word-by-word:
Out of the crowd therefore ones hearing the words these they were saying that, "This man is truly the prophet."

Smooth Translation:
Therefore, ones hearing these words from the crowd were saying, "This man is truly the prophet."

Notes: The definite article in front of προφήτης leads me to believe they are talking about the prophet spoken about by Moses in Deuteronomy 18.
