John 6:2

ἠκολούθει δὲ αὐτῷ ὄχλος πολύς, ὅτι ἑώρων τὰ σημεῖα ἃ ἐποίει ἐπὶ τῶν ἀσθενούντων.

Rough Word-by-word:
it was following and to him [a] crowd great, because they were seeing the signs which he was doing on the ones being sick.

Smooth Translation:
And a great crowd was following him because they were seeing the signs he was doing on the ones who were sick.

Notes:
The wording is a little different in the UBS text, but for the most part the meaning is the same.

ἠκολούθει verb imperfect active indicative 3rd singular from ἀκολουθέω (I follow) "[he] it was following"

δὲ post positive conjunction "and"

αὐτῷ pronoun dative singular masculine "to him"

ὄχλος noun nominative singular masculine "[a] crowd"

πολύς adjective nominative singular masculine "many, great"

ὅτι conjunction "that, because"

ἑώρων imperfect active indicative 3rd plural from ὁράω (I see) "they were seeing"

τὰ definite article accusative plural neuter "the"
