John 6:6

τοῦτο δὲ ἔλεγεν πειράζων αὐτόν· αὐτὸς γὰρ ᾔδει τί ἔμελλεν ποιεῖν

Rough Word-by-word:
this but he was saying testing him, he for he already knew what he was about to do.

Smooth Translation:
But he was saying this testing him, for he, himself, already knew what he was about to do.

τοῦτο demonstrative pronoun accusative singular neuter "this"

δὲ post positive conjunction "and, but"
