John 7:15

ἐθαύμαζον οὖν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι λέγοντες Πῶς οὗτος γράμματα οἶδεν μὴ μεμαθηκώς;

Rough Word-by-word:
They were marveling therefore the Jews saying, "How this man letters he knows not having been taught?"

Smooth Translation:
Therefore the Jews were marveling, saying, "How does this man know letters, not having been taught?"

ἐθαύμαζον verb imperfect active indicative 3rd plural from θαυμάζω (I marvel) "they were marveling"

οὖν post positive conjunction "therefore"

οἱ definite article nominative plural masculine "the"

Ἰουδαῖοι adjective nominative plural masculine "Jews"

λέγοντες present active participle nominative plural masculine from λέγω (I say) "saying"

Πῶς interrogative adverb "how"

οὗτος demonstrative pronoun nominative singular masculine "this man"

γράμματα noun nominative plural neuter "letters"

οἶδεν verb perfect active indicative 3rd singular from εἴδω (I know) "he knows"

μὴ adverb of negation "not"

μεμαθηκώς perfect passive participle nominative singular masculine from μανθάνω (I learn) "having been discipled, taught" (note: I'm taking this as passive although great treasures parses this as active. There is a nuance of difference here with the stress on not having been taught rather than not having learned. I take it that the Jews would be saying this especially because they didn't know of any Rabbi that Jesus had studied under.)
